Mac Mini Boot Camp Select Os

7 days ago  Hello, This A1176 Mac Mini is running Boot Camp with Windows Xp on one side and Mac Os X Snow Leopard on the other. I can hear the chime at startup. Hooked up to a VGA monitor, the screen stays black for about 45 seconds. Then I can only see a flashing horizontal line every 3 or 4 seconds, on.

  • Restart your Mac, and hold down the Option key until icons for each operating system appear onscreen. Highlight Windows or Macintosh HD, and click the arrow to launch the operating system of choice for this session. If you want OS X or Windows to boot every time, choose app → System Preferences, click Startup Disk, and choose the OS you want to launch by default. You can perform the same function in.

  2. If a User Account Control dialog appears, click Yes.

  3. Select the startup disk that has the default operating system you want to use.

  4. If you want to start up using the default operating system now, click Restart. Otherwise, click OK.

You can’t change your startup volume to an external FireWire or USB drive while you’re using Windows.
